2025-26 RBDPL: Update through 2025-12-29

Every year during the holiday season, the soccer schedule in England goes a bit crazy. Unlike many other European leagues, the EPL and Serie A do not have a winter break, and combined with the EPL’s traditional Boxing Day and New Years Day fixtures, the schedule gets quite hectic at this time of year. Additionally, due to conflicts with the Supercoppa Italiana semi-finals, 4 matches from Serie A’s Round 16 were rescheduled until mid-January.

All of that to say, the EPL and Serie A schedules will be out-of-sync until Round 32 in mid-April. Of course, that is just in time for the Coppa Pantera in-season tournament!

Gary has managed to extend his lead at the top of the table, while Stuart has drawn level with Geoff for 2nd place with 4 matches still in hand. Hollowell has also caught up with Brandon in 4th place, also with a game in hand (hopefully not a Wolves match). At the other end of the table, Kaucher has finally moved ahead of Bruno Fernandes, whose recent struggles matches the team’s namesake who is out until late January with an injury.

Brandon and Hollowell each have the opportunity to pull closer to the top 3 on the RBD table, Brandon facing league leaders Gary and Geoff 4 times, while Hollowell squares off 5 times against the same opponents. Brandon and Hollowell also have 2 head-to-head matches (Brentford-Tottenham and Wolves-West Ham).

This week’s Power Rankings reflect the matches played through 29 December 2025. The Opta data for predicted finishing position was taken prior to kickoff of the matches played on 30 December 2025.
